CEO BLOG: Frozen Yogurt is hotter than ever!

We are receiving a large number of requests from business owners who wish to open their own frozen yogurt stores, in regions like Latin America, Asia, Europe and Australia. Which makes sense, as the dairy products market (which includes frozen yogurt!) in Asia Pacific and Latin America is expected to exhibit healthy growth in the near future. In September 2012, Australian Food News reported research from Mintel showing that the value of the ice cream, sorbet and frozen yogurt market in the UK overall had grown by 19% in the last five years. Frozen yogurt had grown by 50% over two years!

We have worked hard to help many successful frozen yogurt stores and we will be there every step of the way to assist with YOUR new frozen yogurt shop. Forte has a strong business model that has proven to be successful time and time again. We provide expert assistance to our domestic and international customers, free of charge. We look forward to continued expansion overseas and reaching a new frozen yogurt fans!

How many states/countries are Forte Supply machines in?
Currently, Forte Supply has sold machines into all Canadian States, Costa Rica, Equator, Colombia, Nigeria, Mexico, and Australia. We are encouraging distributor and representative agreements in LATAM countries, Australia, Africa, and Europe. We have been working hard to create a rep which we will roll out over the final quarter and 1st quarter 2014, with this, we are expecting to sell over 2,000 units in 2014. Forte is actively seeking partnership with international restaurant equipment distributors who will place the Forte brand into existing store operations as well as educate the local markets to the self-serve frozen yogurt trend. Forte will also work with North American regional equipment rep groups to sell product and demonstrate machines across North America. This will add value to customers as Forte will include free onsite training and stock warranty parts and non-wearable parts in all major cities. For us, the bottom line is to create an exceptional product experience for our end users while creating value and the potential for increased return on investment. We will maintain true to our vision of quality, service, and value – we are always looking for ways to do better, it’s our Forte.

What are the current trends in the international markets (Canada, Australia, Costa Rica, Mexico)?
Outside the USA we see a unique opportunity because there is less supply available and increasing demand! The self-serve frozen model has proven to be extremely successful in the US marketplace and now we are seeing the trend moving rapidly into international markets. Many of the more savvy investors and developers are looking to create original partnerships and throw out the old way of doing business. When you have a proven product that is easily accessible, easy to maintain and operate, and saves you hundreds of thousands of dollars across the board, it is wise to take a look. Franchise operators who purchase rights to develop new countries are opening a lot of stores, each with 4-8 frozen yogurt machines. We can all do the math.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the frozen yogurt craze.
